TagHunt App

TagHunt (Android package com.tecbytz.taghunt) is a price-comparison app. It shows products, prices and discounts collected from the public websites of Pakistani fashion brands, and lets you save favourites and get alerts when their prices drop. TagHunt is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of the brands shown. Brand names and logos belong to their respective owners.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: when you sign up with email, we collect your name, username, email address and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form, never as plain text.
• Phone number (optional): you may add a phone number to your profile. You can leave it blank or remove it at any time.
• Google Sign-In: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier from Google. We never receive your Google password.
• Favourites: the products you save, so we can show them to you and alert you about price changes.
• Messages to us: anything you send when you contact us, such as your email address and message.

Information collected automatically

• Notification token: a device token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging, plus your device type (Android), so we can send you price-drop and sale notifications.
• Advertising and device data: the app shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions to deliver, measure and personalise ads. Google may use your IP address to estimate your approximate location for this purpose.
• Technical data: our server records basic request information — such as IP address, time, the feature requested and any search terms you type — to keep the service running, secure and free of abuse.

TagHunt does not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, files, SMS, call logs or payment information. You never buy anything inside TagHunt; purchases happen on the brand's own website.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and sign you in.
• To save your favourites and show their current prices and availability.
• To send notifications when a favourite goes on sale, drops in price or comes back in stock. You can turn these off at any time.
• To send account emails, such as password reset messages.
• To show ads that keep TagHunt free.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, fix problems and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run TagHunt, and only as needed for the purposes above:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and TecBytz.

When you tap Open Link, you leave TagHunt and go to the brand's website, which has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for how brand websites handle your data.

4. Advertising choices

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads at any time in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Security & privacy → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device). You will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

5. Notifications

TagHunt asks for your permission before sending notifications. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → Apps → TagHunt → Notifications. When you log out, uninstall the app or delete your account, the notification token for that device stops being used.

6. How long we keep your information

• Account and favourites: for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete them within 30 days.
• Notification tokens: until you log out, the token expires, or you delete your account.
• Server logs: for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
• We may keep limited information longer where the law requires it.

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it, by contacting us at support@tecbytz.com. You can update your details at any time in the app under Account → Edit Profile.

9. Security

We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted server access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a problem occurs.

10. Children

TagHunt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Prices and availability

Prices, discounts, stock and sizes are collected from brand websites and can change at any time. Always check the current price and availability on the brand's official website before buying.
